JMC (Jim Melton Cyclery) Racing was a bicycle company in the 1970s & 1980s. It started as a bicycle shop in 1969. It began manufacturing bicycle components in 1974, mostly to make a bicycle look more like a motocross motorcycle, including fenders & false fuel tanks.

‘JMC Shadow frame and forks (K84970) in action back in the day. The racing shots are: 1) The bike leading the pack round the first turn at Romford in the UK – 1987; 2) The bike on the gate at the World Championships in Orlando, Florida – 1987; The next shots are the frame and forks as they stand today.

The bike is a Shadow. The Chome and Frame stickers are original. The wheels are Skyway Graphites (Campy hubs) with Comp III tires. The remainder of the parts are almost all NOS and include, GT Pro bars & Seatpost, Suntour clamp, Pro Neck Stem, MX 1000 brakes and DX levers, Flight cranks, Kashimax Aero seat and Ame grips.

Aug 3, 2010 · This certified Shadow is a stunning show bike. Glenn Bettney sent this in. It was sold originally in November of 1984 to Hot Wheels in the United Kingdom. Built up with all the best including Mongoose Pro Class wheels with Bullseye hubs. What looks to be Bob Reedy pedals. JMC forks and bars.
