Jeffrey William Datz (born November 28, 1959) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) catcher and coach who played for the Detroit Tigers in 1989, and who is currently a scout for the New York Yankees.

Jeff Datz was an All-American catcher for the Profs and a member of the school’s 1979 NCAA Champion team. As a senior, Datz batted .408 with 45 RBI and 14 home runs to earn selection to the 1982 All-America Second Team and the All-Conference First Team.
