The Gwen and Jules Knapp Center for Biomedical Discovery (KCBD) provides new research space for groundbreaking initiatives.

Chicagoans Jules and Gwen Knapp donated $25 million toward construction of the 330,760-square-foot, 10-story, state-of-the-art Knapp Center. The Knapp Center for Biomedical Discovery, completed in 2009, follows a contemporary template.

BSD Building Management is available to assist faculty, staff, and students with a wide range of issues within BSD campus buildings. These issues include building operations (HVAC, plumbing, locks, repairs), custodial needs, security, and card access, tank/mail delivery, event scheduling/setup, shared equipment upkeep, and others.
