Jan 30, 2023 · According to Kef the KF92 is twice as loud as the KC62. They have the same frequency response, and the same power. Having two subs has its benefits as far as delivering bass more evenly across the room, but that also means you have to place them where they will perform optimally.

Oct 17, 2023 · I think the main difference between the KC62 and the KF92 is how loud they can play the lower notes and loudness in general. At low to medium volumes they ought to be about the same. As you crank the KC62 up, you'll start getting some volume compression towards the lower frequencies.

Feb 20, 2024 · Depending on the size of your room, you may be better off using 2 x KC62 with the LS50 Wireless II as it may give a better integration... that said, if you can pick up a KF92 on a deal then that is also worth a shout, it has a lot more output than the KC62 does.

Mar 19, 2024 · KEF KC62 vs KF92. The KF92 has a max SPL that’s double the one offered by the KC62, making it a great option for larger listening rooms or home theaters. Yet to me, it seems like overkill: you might end up spending a lot of time ensuring the sub won’t overpower your speakers, plus it costs almost $2,000.
Has anybody heard the new KEF KF92 sub? What are your opinions?
Sep 7, 2020 · KEF says the KC62 loses about 5 dB relative to the KC92, and I'm hearing from some that the KC62 begins to struggle above 90 dB SPL. Even if it is just a 5 dB difference, at these low frequencies this can be significant. The KC62 anyways has to work harder to play at the same levels as the KC92.
