Dec 12, 2014 · The LS50s look the way they do for technical reasons. Conventional speakers have a flat baffle - this is easier to make, to fit a grille, and is more acceptable. The front panel/baffle of the LS50 doesn't affect the UniQ driver's output in any way.

Jun 3, 2018 · I made some grilles for some Tannoy ellipse speakers (which also don't come with any) out of thin ply and acoustic cloth and used velcro dots to attach them. Worked fine. You could probably use foam grilles and velcro too.

Jul 20, 2018 · I was recommended JBL B15s for $90, wait for Chane A4.4 surrounds and just sit with 3.1 for 3 months, KEF LS50 for high priced surrounds. My limitation is speaker size. My wife loves the fronts since they hide wires and sound fantastic.

Jun 16, 2024 · I just ordered LS50 Metas and they haven’t arrived yet, but I’m already thinking about the potential damage my future pet will inflict on them. Seeing all those “cats on speakers” photos makes me anxious about the drivers getting scratched and from what I see, there are no grills for the speakers.
