Metalcraft Kahu® is a symmetrical, trapezoidal, long-run steel roof and wall cladding manufactured from NZ Steel products. It is supplied in a range of protective coatings to meet NZ's exposure zones and are available in the full Colorsteel® range. Metalcraft Kāhu® sheets are available in the following NZ Steel branded products:

Metalcraft Roofing’s KAHU® profile can be used with various Metalcraft COLORSTEEL® flashings, gutters and fascias. They are ordered typically along with the required fixings, underlay and sealants. MATERIAL OPTIONS: COLORSTEEL® ENDURA® (Also available with COLORSTEEL® ENDURA® DRIDEX®) 0.40mm and 0.55mm BMT G550.

Kāhu is a steel roofing and external wall cladding system. The comprises: Metalcraft fabricates the Kāhu sheets from steel manufactured Zealand Steel. This steel is supplied with diferent protective are designed to withstand conditions in specific New Zealand Zones. Refer to NZ Steel’s Environmental Categories Brochure.

Kāhu® is a steel roofing and external wall cladding system comprised of a long run steel sheet with a symmetrical profile, along with associated design and installation information. Kāhu features a double capillary overlap to the side lap which allows for weather greater performance. The double capillary overlap requires only a one rib lap.

MINIMUM PITCHES The minimum pitch is determined by the ability of the roof cladding to discharge maximum rainfall without water penetration through the side laps, end laps or flashings.

The high ribs allows Kāhu® to be laid at a lower pitch than Corrugate and is available in Zincalume®, Galvsteel®, Colorsteel® Endura® and Colorsteel® Maxx®.
