Jun 19, 2023 · If it was bought at Costco Canada, it should be the same as the model sold by Canadian Carriers & shouldn't need any modification to get VoLTE & WiFi Calling to work on a Canadian market G8X. It's been posted many times that LG releases cumulative updates that contain all carrier settings for the original market of the device.

Jul 2, 2023 · I have fitted a new battery, which I bought from Amazon for $20, in my G8X Thinq today! It wasn't easy, the back cover is very securely stuck down (I cracked it taking it off), and the battery was also heavily glued (it smoked and burnt my fingers) - but the new battery is in and the phone switched on, so I consider that a win, as I've never done this before.
