Sep 26, 2021 · It all depends on your setup. The longer your cable is you will get signal loss I went to LMR 400 because of how long my cable run is to get to my antenna. But if you have a short cable there won’t be as much of a benefit to go to LMR 400.

LMR cables have lower loss and better shielding than comparably sized braided cables. Polyethylene jacket, closed cell foam poly dielectric and bonded tape conductor contributes to the better weather resistance as compared to braided cables and 9913.

Aug 26, 2021 · 10 meters of LMR 200 @ 2.5 GHz has ~6.6 dB of attenuation. 10 meters of LMR 400 @ 2.5 GHz has ~2.2 dB of attenuation. A difference of 4 dB, So if you use the LMR 400 you will get more than 2 times more signal.

I bought one of those LPDA antenna for my 4G-LTE router (tp-link MR600). Does it make any difference here whether I use LMR-200 cable or LMR-400 to connect the antenna to the router?. Cable length is 10 metres.
