Sep 27, 2022 · This is a very nice optic, commensurate with the price. The glass is clear, free from distortion and tint. The 1x is a true 1x, which is very rare in low powered variable optics. You can shoot this optic with both eyes open, just like a red dot. The illumination is daylight bright if turned up to the highest setting.

Scope options - M14 Forum
Nov 21, 2024 · A railed handguard like the m14.ca scout handguard is a good option for a forward mounted red dot. 2) not using the Burris RT6 tactical kit as it looks like the mount (as opposed to rings) would put you very high above the bore. I use the qd version of the Burris PEPR scope mount in an AR. I don’t think it would be a good option for an m14.

Jan 22, 2025 · The main reason for the forward optic was that it was built on a military surplus bolt action and he wanted to reload with stripper clips, but detachable magazines are a better solution. The other reason was fast target acquisition, but red dots and LPVO's with 1x are faster than a forward mounted 2x.
