Follow the information on it's online instruction page to blend text codes with chapter names into a text file. Then you can import the text file into Subler for marking the chapters. Oct 28, 2007 · .m4v and .mp4 are *exactly* the same container with a different file extension only, which for apple signals their devices to look for certain characteristics for some reason. eg. in HandBrake if you use AC3 in an mp4 and chapter markers, the atv will not see them. Simply rename the same file to mymovie.m4v and voila, the atv sees them.

I took the 2:18 .AC3 file, originally exported from the MKV by MKVTools in exactly the same way as exporting BD subtracks. For slicing the original Avatar MKV into 2:18-long parts, I used Mkvtoolnix in its Global > Splitting > Enable Splitting mode.

Aug 20, 2011 · I have used Subler and MP4Tools to take mkv files and convert them to m4v ("pass thru") settings enabled. Subler crashes with over 5 "saves" going on, and MP4Tools sometimes stalls at the demuxing stage. I can't seem to find a way to take the elementary streams in a m2ts file and remux them into the iTunes/ATV friendly m4v container. Any ideas?
