May 17, 2014 · If reliability is going to enter in, and cost is an issue then it will be a Miata. In the dollar for value issue you can get more Corvette than 280z. Its a shame because the 280z was a great car. Most of the people who would have preferred a 280z have already been the 240 route. You are about 20 years too late. Your even too late for a decent 240.

280Z Guess the rust condition I was checking out a 280Z which is in pretty much original unrestored condition (asking 20k). It's about a 5 hour drive away so I was hoping to get a vague idea of the rust situation under the car before going to see it but unfortunately the owners had an injury recently so isn't able to get any photos underneath.

Mar 10, 2021 · One thing about the 280ZX is that it has a look like the 280Z with the long nose/short deck, the 300ZX got rid of that and lost it's appeal for me. The sharper lines of the 80's is different from the rolling lines of the 60's, but you'll stand out in the crowd with the 280ZX. I'd be careful what parts you need to find.

Nov 13, 2020 · I tend to agree with the statistical notion of an outlier. But! (And its a big BUT!) It is an undeniable fact that the 280z has become more and more sought after. I looked for a whole year for one. I finally closed the deal in December 2019 for $9k. If I had to look for a car with the similar conditions as mine I would pay an extra 7-8k.

May 1, 2023 · Hey there I know this has been done often I’m just seeing so many options I figure one more post can’t hurt lol. So I have stock unmodified body on my 280z. The wheels I’m going with are 16” by 8” wide. What size tires are my best option to use without rolling or cutting fenders. I have Techno toy parts and coils for suspension.

If the motor is out of car what I like to do is remove the wiring harness from where it typically would sit (leaving it going through the firewall cuz getting those plugs out through the grommet sucks) and unbolt anything that unbolts easy then wrap the wiring harness bundles up in garbage ...
