The FV510 Warrior tracked vehicle family is a series of British armoured vehicles, originally developed to replace FV430 series armoured vehicles. The Warrior started life as the MCV-80, "Mechanised Combat Vehicle for the 1980s".

Nov 10, 2024 · The Warrior MCV-80 is an Armoured Infantry Fighting Vehicle (AIFV) designed in 1977 by the British Company GKN Sankey to replace the tracked armored personnel carrier FV432 which was in service with the British Army since the 1960s.

Warrior section vehicles carry driver, commander, gunner and seven fully equipped soldiers together with supplies and weapons for a 48-hour battlefield day in NBC (nuclear / biological / chemical) conditions. The Warrior adapts to a range of roles with weapon fits ranging from machine pistols to 90mm guns, mortars and missile systems.

Nov 5, 2022 · Rolls-Royce Motors formed a new company with Self Changing Gears called Trackpower Transmissions to develop a new power pack for MCV-80. A Warrior power pack consists of a 550hp Rolls-Royce/Perkins CV-8TCA Condor diesel engine and a General Motors X-300-4B automatic transmission.
