May 2, 2022 · IMO Wamai is one of the best solo queue operators on defense. With impacts, the keratos for holes, and grenade denial with the discs, you’re very self sufficient. A tip for using his discs is to try and place the first few in the rooms surrounding the site, then stay alive and place more closer to the site entrances as they regenerate.

There’s nothing quite like a commandeered stun or frag grenade to turn the tide in Wamai’s favor. Starting with one Mag-NET, Wamai regularly gains an additional charge up to a maximum of five. Make sure to place them wisely, as they can be destroyed with a single hit should they be spotted.

May 5, 2020 · Wamai is a better anchor than a roamer. His magnets recharge over time, which means you get the most use out of him when staying alive as long as possible. For magnets, the rule of thumb is to TRY and place them outside entry points as opposed to Jager.

May 10, 2024 · With Wamai around, the defending team is much safer from being killed by frag grenades. It’ll also be much easier to thwart the attackers’ plan to push behind the cover of smoke grenades or the blind effects of Ying’s Candelas or stun grenades.

Apr 23, 2022 · Wamai is a good operator. I feel like his gun selection could've been better but oh well. Nah Wamai has one of the best defender kits in the game. A consistent AR with good range, decent damage, no recoil but low fire rate or an SMG with good fire rate, good damage, no recoil but worse range.
