Jul 9, 2020 · That being said, this is a pretty standard mob farm, using apotheosis spawner. The egg thing is very cool though, and definitely a great idea. Keep up the good work though! You could improve by giving the mob crusher a fortune III add-on (remember you have to enchant the add-on with fortune, it takes a max level of 3)

Dec 14, 2015 · You can build a spawner everywhere, even at a ocean. You might want to build that spawner very high above the ocean. Unless you want to make a spawner underground, it doesn't matter where you want to build it, so go ahead and put torches underground, unless you're building the spawner there.

Nov 23, 2020 · I've been struggling levelling for enchanting, so I was just wondering, in terms of gaining experience, what is the difference between a mob spawner farm (e.g. a zombie spawner) vs a natural mob spawner farm (e.g. a tower mob drop thing). I know natural mob spawner will give you better drops as it gives every kind, but what gives the most xp?

Zombies and skeletons can even spawn with boots enchanted with Feather Falling. As another example, some mob farms will use water streams that kick the mobs up as much as a half block before the fall, which can also affect the result. The only sure way is to use a damaging mechanism that is more controllable, like timed suffocation.

I reccomend a donut design over Gnembon's tower-like design but that's just because I hate spawn proofing. You can easily future proof it by switching to player kill -- I recently built what is essentially ilmango's 1.12 farm but modified the central area to have a killing chamber like Gnembon's farm has with the honey blocks.

Dec 31, 2023 · Afterwards, farm a mob that has the potential to drop a lot of times (ex., loot goblin, witches, cave creeper) using spawners. The best spawners are in the Iron and Spellbook’s Undead King dungeon, use the wayward compass and look for a bridge and silk touch the “Evoker Fang spawner”.

Dreadful dirt is honestly a fantastic mob farm even into the end game, but yeah a mob masher from mob grinding utils and any spawner in a small area guarenteeing they'll spawn next to the masher (w/ absorption hopper) is the move until you have enough liquid exp to make GM Chicken Feed for the dreadful dirt is the move.
