Oct 28, 2022 · Try full power 124 gr. NATO M882 or equivalent. If you pull an MP-40's bolt to the rear, you'll feel two springs at work. There's the recoil spring, but also a buffer spring at the very rear of bolt travel. Rate of fire and reliability are both improved if the bolt is engaging the buffer spring before moving forward again.
