Oct 29, 2023 · I removed the pistol grip frame from the lower and stripped it completely. I took an "L" shape custom punch that I made and removed the bent/deformed areas on both sides.

This is an original WW2 production pair of bakelite MP 40 submachine gun grips. The grips come with an original screw, and a wood buffer that keeps the grips separate when not attached to a firearm.

Oct 19, 2019 · I just bought my first MP40 and got a parts kit with the deal. When cleaning the parts kit I noticed the finish came off the pistol grip panels, apparently they had just been painted). Turns out they are aluminum. Is that right?
