I'm certain anything German similarly equipped will be more like $6x,xxx. Only direct competitor to the Z is the Zupra, which is also 10-15% more expensive similarly equipped.

There's really no point buying a Nissan Z when for the same money, you can get a fully loaded Mustang GT that actually includes a LSD stock. Nissan dropped the ball on Z by pricing it higher than the competition, and allows dealers to add in countless stupid unnecessary options/insane mark-ups (tbf everyone does this).

Now 20 years later, I’ve seen the new Z 3 times. Once at the LA Autoshow, once on the 101 as I was passing by Gilroy and once locally in LA. 671 is not kicking butt, more like getting seriously cockblocked by the dealers. For reference in the 2nd year of 350Z’s production (2003), sales number were 36k.
