The new Nichia NCSU334B 280nm UV-C LED is considered the world's highest quality UV-C LED package. Nichia expects this LED, with industry leading output and lifetime, to assist in displacing mercury lamps; currently used for water purification and air sterilization.

While maintaining the compact 3.5mm x 3.5mm size of the 434 Series, the newly launched UV-B and UV-A LEDs deliver industry-leading outputs of 90mW and 100mW respectively (at 350mA), thus maximizing flux density.
