Aug 7, 2015 · I looked around and I cannot find any HEX color chart for the original PlayStation. All I know is officially PlayStation Grey is 'grey with purple tint'.

I noticed that they are two different shades of grey. I wanted to know if it was commonly accepted that the consoles would vary in the shade of grey out of the factory, or if the bottom pictured unit perfectly yellowed so as to appear to be another shade of grey. Thanks!

Sep 19, 2023 · Does anyone know the exact color of the original PS1 ? (or hex code) I bought a PS2 with the shell in a really bad state (not that one in the picture), and i want to paint it the same color of the PS1.

With the NTSC format, a 128-color palette was available, built based on eight luma values and 15 combinations of I and Q chroma signals (plus I = Q = 0 for a pure grayscale): The above image assumes there is no limit on the number of colors per scan line.

Jun 21, 2024 · The PS1 supports texture color depths of 4, 8 and 16 bits per pixel. 4-bit and 8-bit textures are usually accompanied with CLUT or Color Lookup Table. A CLUT is essentially the color palette of its associated texture image.
