For the clearest possible image with minimal lag, and granted, this is not the cheapest option, would be to pick up some nice Component cables and run them into a Retrotink. The 2x should getcha, I like the 5x, you can really dial things in with the 5x.

Jun 23, 2020 · So apparently PCSX2 (PS2 emulator) allows you to change the internal resolution so you can play Dark cloud in up to 8K! Enjoy high quality screenshot! I've always loved how this game looked. It "held up to time" pretty damn well, even on Ps2. There's probably a way to render it at 16:9 wide-screen too. I like my trophies though.

May 9, 2021 · When moving the 8k slowly in PS2, it tracks perfectly, but if it is moved too fast the in-game response slows down significantly until you finish moving, at which point it quickly jumps to the rotation you'd expect based on how far you moved the mouse.
