Also how can they take full advantage of the PS5 pro when the install base of the standard PS5 will be so high that you won’t be able to leave the PS5 behind. It’s like Microsoft bigging up the Series X but the Series S holds it back every step of the way because there HAS to be parity.
Digital Foundry: PlayStation 5 Pro Specs Confirmed, Analysis - Reddit
I know upgrading from the base PS4 to Pro and from Pro to PS5 with trade-ins felt like highway robbery. I think I paid $200 total for the two upgrades. If someone plans on getting a PS5 Pro, I’d recommend exploring your options this fall. Kind of sucks to wait a year, pay full price, and lose $100 on your trade-in.

Mar 26, 2024 · Pro sticking with Zen 2 isn't so much a problem compared to the measly upclock. 10% is.. Not very much. PS4 Pro CPU offered a 33% boost over the PS4 CPU. If PS5 Pro offered something similar, even still being on Zen 2, we'd likely see a lot of games that when unlocked could run at around 40FPS to then get closer to 60FPS.

Mar 30, 2024 · The use case for a PS5 Pro is an increase in image quality, not performance. The majority of games with big performance issues or with 30fps locks are CPU-limited, and PS5 Pro won't change that. What will change is the base, pre …

Do we need a PS5 Pro? (And will there be one?) - Reddit
Damn I absolutely need a ps5 pro. The current ps5 feels in a lot of games like the old Gen with 30 fps and low fidelity. 4090 owners laugh about this. With a ps5 pro PlayStation could be back with real 60 fps, 4k in high fidelity. Maybe even better than a 4p090 because it could be programmed on point and with less overhead.
Would you buy a PS5 pro? : r/playstation - Reddit
PS5 pro wont solve ingame quality issue but it will solve the frames to resolution ratio and thats something. Similar to what PS5 does with games compared to PS4. This generation has alot of great games but we have to admit it is actually an upseting one when it comes to graphical leap since 95% of games we playing are cross-gen and not next-gen.
r/PlaystationPortal on Reddit: Will the PS5 Pro improve the Portal ...
Apr 12, 2024 · A new, faster console won't help it much. Portal can only do 1080p/60fps, and for that the PS5 is more than enough. So yeah, the PS5 Pro won't help much. But if Sony releases PS5 Pro and also updates their streaming to 4k/60fps or something like that, then it will have to release a new Portal device, etc. That's another ball game entirely.
[Digital Foundry] PlayStation 5 Pro Specs Confirmed, Analysis
Mar 19, 2024 · ps5 pro's main gpu is rdna3, but it uses rdna4 for the ray tracing which is why the ray tracing uplift is oddly much higher than the rasterization improvement. Even though the ray tracing is being bottlenecked by whole render pipeline and we won't see massive fps increase with RT on, it should still mean that at the same FPS, we can see much ...

Mar 17, 2024 · The PS5 can run FSR now, yes. However, FSR is a much simpler upscaler. The FSR upscaler runs on the same GPU cores used to render the rest of the image, compared to DLSS which uses the AI cores to handle the upscaling leaving the rest of the GPU free to render the image (but it runs only on Nvidia hardware).
