PAOS (Progressive Artists Open System) are a Japanese design studio. Motoo Nakanishi founded them and they became recognised as on of Japan's leading agencies specialising in corporate identity (CI) design and consulting.

At PAOS, we believe that image marketing strategies for contemporary corporations constitute "invisible designs", that the design of corporate strategy and policy is the key element.

The PAOS brand takes the initial letters of the company philosophy, Progressive Artists Open System, and was conceived when the company was in its inception as a means of giving tangible expression to our unique approach to the design business.

I am a mechanical designer with professional experience in mechanical design. I also have a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo. I am passionate about all things mechanical and robotics and love to tinker with gadgets in my personal time.
