Patrick John Joseph Burns[1] (April 4, 1952 – November 19, 2010) was a National Hockey League head coach. Over 14 seasons between 1988 and 2004, he coached in 1,019 games with the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, and New Jersey Devils.

Pat Burns has been named the new Mayor of Huntington Beach, taking over the outgoing Mayor Gracey Van Der Mark's position. Burns was sworn into office during the December 3 City Council meeting. Alongside him, Casey McKeon was appointed as the new Mayor Pro Tem, solidifying the leadership team for the year ahead.

Huntington Beach’s mayor is selected annually from among the City Council Members and is charged with running the City Council meetings and representing the city throughout the community and region. Mayor Pat Burns is the fourth of five boys, born to a Father from New York and a Mother from a village in France.
