The following year came the M series which offered the same manual focus, manual aperture functionality with smaller and lighter designs. In 1983 came the "A" setting on the aperture ring, offering shutter priority and program operation. The camera could now automatically set the aperture if desired.

Sep 18, 2024 · The Pentax KF is a worthy successor to my Pentax K7. This showed defects after 6 years (bought second hand) and then it is time for something else. The image sensor in particular is of much better quality compared to the K7 and I was able to reuse all my lenses and even the remote control. Furthermore, the operation and menu structure are similar.
