I have a Compaq PROLINEA 590 Pentium 1 desktop computer and when I am trying to attach a 10GB Seagate Hard disk it is giving me (1790 - Disk 0 Error). I cannot access the BIOS even if I try F10 etc.. However once I managed to enter in Computer Setup and the hard disk was recognised correctly by the computer with the correct size and details.

May 26, 2000 · I would like to install Win 98 on the computer. I've reformatted the hard drive, and reinstalled DOS 6.22. When attempting to install Win 98, it always locks up between 1/2 - 3/4 through the install. I can load the 3.1 Windows perfectly. I've only got 16 MB RAM, but that should not affect the install should it? The hard drive is 1.7 Gig.
