Nov 28, 2022 · A few methods of artificially synthesizing phosphophyllite exist, most common one is hydrothermal method. Unfortunately, I obviously don't have the same equipment as professionals so I plan on trying to use a gel method.

I don't have my research to hand atm but from what I remember the iron to zinc ratio determines whether you get phosphophyllite or hopeite

May 29, 2022 · I'm about to buy a phosphophyllite for a really good price. The seller sells a lot of minerals from his collection and it's only a really small piece. The origin of the phosphophyllite is Hagendorf-sud Oberpfalz. It looks alot like apophyllite and is not as beautiful as the pieces found on Google search. How do I know it's not apophyllite?
