Situated at in the foothills of Nevada’s fourth tallest peak within the mysterious Alta-Toquima Wilderness, basecamp at Pine Creek Campground for access to all central Nevada adventure. Amazingly enough, campsites at Pine Creek boast well developed and maintained sites for free.

Pine Creek Campground is a free, developed campground offered by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. There are 21 campsites, including a group campsite. Many of the sites are small, but there are a fair number that can accommodate RVs from 20 to 35 feet in length.

Pine Creek Campground near Round Mountain, NV, is surrounded by rugged terrain with pine trees and rocky landscapes. Temperatures can reach highs of around 90°F in summer and drop to lows of 20°F in winter. Visitors can explore the nearby Toiyabe Range and the historic mining town of Belmont.

This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are October through May.
