The Nock gun was a seven-barrelled flintlock smoothbore firearm used by the Royal Navy during the early stages of the Napoleonic Wars. It is a type of volley gun adapted for ship-to-ship fighting, but was limited in its use because of the powerful recoil and eventually discontinued.

All seven .46 caliber (12 mm) barrels were connected to the single flintlock pan in a manner intended to produce simultaneous discharge through row ignition, but one or more barrels frequently failed to fire.

The first 3 of these weapons were rifled, but it was found that the rifling was not necessary so all later models were smooth bore. There are 6 outside barrels located around a central barrel. The barrels are 20" long in .50 caliber.
