Apr 25, 2011 · And it took quite a bit of force to spin on the impeller to free the shaft. The pump is working fine for now, there is no loss in performance. I have a pool edge waterfall, I can judge by seeing how far the water 'shoots out" before reaching the pool surface. So the power of the pump has not reduced. I will certainly keep an eye on things.

Jun 1, 2012 · The pool (18x40 AG) will be about 20 feet from the house and the pump and all equipment will be 15 – 20 feet from the pool. The initial install will not be hard plumbed but I will plan on doing that shortly after the pool is installed. I don’t have the pool installed as of yet so I am trying to get the site plan determined.

Dec 20, 2010 · I know the pump is cavitating because of the noise it is making and there are air bubbles coming from the return lines. Filter pressure is about 5 psi. Forgot to mention. On advice of a pool builder, I ran the system without the filter cartriges. Although the flow increased, it did not cure the cavitation. I have since replaced my filter cartriges.
