The absolute best RG6 cable? - AVS Forum
Apr 18, 2005 · It is more flexible and easier to work with than RG6 and is well shielded. While interfering signals on an analog baseband application are perhaps more likely than digital broadband, it's rare that shield penetration of external signals is a problem and even rarer that simply a better shielded cable will solve the problem if it exists.
Any negatives to using RG6 coax to connect a subwoofer?

Dumb question, but if running RG6 for a sub seems to happen from time to time-why do you not see a coax hook up on the back of a a sub or an easier adapter or something?
RG6 or RG6 Quad for rooftop antenna. - AVS Forum
Apr 7, 2009 · This kit comes with 75' of RG6 coax cable. However, I'm hearing that RG6 quad shielded cable would provide less signal loss or interference for Over-The-Air (OTA) reception. Is this true? It's roughly 30 ft. from the antenna to the ground. Also, this will be plugged into a 4 way splitter (no preamp or booster). With the kit ($60), I'm stuck ...

Rg6 /u Vs. Rg6 Quad Shielded-what's Best For Hd Quality?
Oct 12, 2005 · Usually people run QS in the walls because the chance for interference from electrical and other wires is higher. From wall to STB/TV they usually use regular RG6 or tri-shield (QS shielding but thinner cable like normal RG6) The QS is thicker and harder to bend which makes it more difficult to work with as a patch cable in your tight media center.
F Connector Difference - RG6/RG58/RG59? - AVS Forum
Dec 26, 2006 · Yes. RG58 will cause impedance mismatch. 50 vs 75 ohm. RG6 utilizes thicker cable. RG-59 compression connectors are readily available at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.,
Maximum Bandwidth of Coax Cable? - AVS Forum
Dec 16, 2004 · Bandwidth is an analog measurement. The maximum bandwidth of a cable is measured at the -3dB point, the frequency at which the signal drops to 0.707 of its low frquency value. This will vary with the coax cable length, but coax can carry UHF frequencies (up to 800Mhz) with a few dB loss for up to 100feet of RG6 coax.
