Raw Silk was an American dance band which originated in New York. Raw Silk first signed to West End Records, a popular garage label for which they recorded songs that became moderate hits. Their songs were remixed by post-disco / R&B production duo Nick Martinelli and David Todd. [citation needed]

RAW SILK is the alias of best pals Grace and Steph, an ode to the short-lived 80’s boogie duo. Their sets recreate a taste of the dance-floor freedom they’d experienced whilst living in Melbourne together many moons ago.

RAW SILK Do It To The Music (1982) West End WES 22148 12" Single. Very glossy; looks un-played. Labels are clean. Both sides play without noise. Sleeve still in shrink, though there is wear to corners & edges; free of splits.
