The National Championship Air Races bring heart-pounding excitement throughout the entire week of racing. But while each day is exciting, no two days are the same. Unique thrills can be found each and every day, as the week builds toward its climactic conclusion and another set of names being etched into history.

The 2025 National Championship Air Races will have an extensive list of modern military, civilian and historic aircraft on display in Roswell. Check back for updates in the months leading up to the show for details on who will be in attendance.

Jul 29, 2022 · Pilots Revealed for 2022 STIHL National Championship Air Races. RENO, Nev. (July 29, 2022) – The field is set for this year’s STIHL National Championship Air Races with 152 planes and 156 pilots racing for glory Sept. 14-18 just north of downtown Reno, Nev.

The T-6 Class features match racing between stock aircraft, including the original T-6 “Texan,” the Canadian-built “Harvard,” and the US Navy “SNJ” version aircraft. The fastest T-6 aircraft generally post race speeds into the 220-230 mph range on the 5.06-mile course at Reno.
