The MG ZR is an MG branded "hot hatch" version of the Rover 25 supermini class car, produced by MG Rover at their Longbridge plant in Birmingham from 2001 to 2005. Compared to the Rover 25, the ZR featured a number of styling modifications and performance enhancements, such as updated sports suspension and a less baffled exhaust.

By the summer of 2001, the newly named MG Rover Group had introduced a sporty version of the Rover 25: the MG ZR. It had modified interior and exterior styling, as well as sports suspension, to give the car the look of a "hot" hatchback.

Feb 16, 2009 · the 200 is the best looking bubble by far. the 25 is an ugly duckling and the Zr is a 17 years olds wet dream. the 200 is the 'real' bubble, it was how it was meant to look and is respected in its own right unlike the 25 which is just a 200 updated with a hideous looking 75 front end to prop the model range up.

Aug 26, 2009 · I've been reading through this thread as the Wife's 2005 ZR 3 door petrol has a non-working tailgate lock (nothing happens when boot button is pressed on fob). Obviously I will now check the wires for breaks etc.
