Jun 15, 2024 · Half of the connections went to a HBA and the other half to the motherboard. I bought a used backplane with the higher density connector, a Broadcom 9500-16i, and two Y cables. Now all of the data disks are connected through the HBA. I then 3d printed some mounts for the SSDs for good measure. Even got out my label maker.
