Shin Nihon Kikaku is Japanese for "New Japan Project". By 1981 it was widely known as SNK, but the full name was still present until 1986, when it was dropped. This is the first logo with the acronym. Just a few months after the acronym was introduced, the logo's typeface was changed to the one that would be used for 7 years.
