The EMD SW14 is a model of diesel switcher locomotives built by the Illinois Central's shops in Paducah, Kentucky between 1978 and 1982. A total of 112 were rebuilt from EMD NW2 , EMD SW7 and EMD SW9s .

ICG SW14 1499, Hawthorne Yard, Cicero, Illinois, July 12, 1982, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Built in May 1952 as IC SW9 9473 (c/n 16415) on EMD Order 4123, it was renumbered to 473, during 1981 was rebuilt at Paducah, Kentucky to SW14 1499.
