SWM RS500: A NEW TWIST ON A FAMILIAR DUAL-SPORT BIKE The 2019 SWM RS500 can trace its roots back to the first of the hardcore dual-sport bikes. It comes from the same factory in Italy.

Jan 27, 2021 · Well, while definitely an enduro bike at heart, the 500 is more trail orientated that your Beta and KTM’s. Don’t get me wrong, the SWM’s are essentially revamped versions of the old 2010 era TE510, but there are some differences to make them a bit more suited to trail riding.

Jun 20, 2019 · At 255 lb. (dry weight), the RS 500 R is a true off-road enduro-style bike that’s barely DOT legal. The throttle is very responsive and can be interpreted as “vibey” to some due to the Husky -styled powerful single-cylinder motor.

It’s a broad meaty power curve, it gets moving in wife open spaces. When the going get’s super-tight and technical, the bike is a little harder to ride – you’ll still have lots of fun in single trail, just steer clear of any Erzberg-like terrain! The SWM RS500R is a good bike for the money.

Also as with the previous model, the MY21 RS 500R features high-quality componentry including Mikuni fuel injection, KYB suspension, Brembo brakes and Michelin Enduro Competition IV tyres.

Only the SWM and Beta have decent off-road tires in the Michelin Enduros, but they also suffer in comparison to full off-road rubber. That’s why we installed STI Tech 2 tires, which are street-approved full knobbies.
