Sep 2, 2015 · I'm currently running a Harris bipod on my scar 17, set up as a DMR type rifle. I'm asking what everyone prefers because I'm not really liking the Harris for the Scar. It's quick to deploy, but I feel like to really get into the rifle like I should, it feels like I'm gonna bend/break it.

The only bipod I own currently is a Harris 6-9" model w/ KAC rail adapter for a Mk12 build that has been in the works for a while, but since it's far from being complete, I've been tempted to throw it on the SCAR 17S for some prone work at the range.

Jan 25, 2021 · The magpul bipod is awesome with the scar if you are inclined to modify it a bit. You can make the legs tuck right up between the bottom rails and the side rails. It looks like it was actually designed with the rifle and is out of the way but works well when deployed.

Jun 28, 2023 · I believe there's no specific bipod that would give a SCAR an advantage over other models and platforms, so whatever bipod you pick will work. Search some bipod reviews and pick the one that you like and works for you.

Dec 8, 2012 · I prefer an integrated bipod system like the HK G3/91 or like some of the SIG 5XX rifles use - not too bulky and not too complex and not too expensive. I guess quad rails killed the intrigal bipod concept. I did choose two GG&G models. They recommended the heavy bipod for 7.62x51 and up.
