This SCAR 17S is a straight-up DMR build. There is nothing short about it, especially with the suppressor attached, so it’s built to do one thing extremely well: land accurate hits at long range as quietly as possible.

Jul 19, 2019 · For the SCAR owners out there with suppressor experience, which suppressor would you choose for use with a 16" barreled SCAR? Would the OSS Helix HX-QD 762 or the Surefire SOCOM RC2 762 be good options?

We got a SCAR 17 barrel in the shop so we tested every muzzle device that we sell. This was tested on a 16" SCAR 17 barrel. It fits if the muzzle device makes contact the shoulder and could be timed using SilencerCo shims.

From what ive read, keep the OEM Ugg boot and you’ll cut out a good amount of problems with your rear receiver screws canting. In general, the SCAR doesnt like anything but factory stuff but my suppressor is the Ventum 7.62 and with the gas dialed down it shoots extremely soft and slows the bolt way down.

Sep 7, 2023 · The SCAR 17S* shoulder is narrow and you'll either need to use a shoulder ring or a muzzle device specifically for the 17 (one that indexes off the muzzle not the shoulder). You might be able to get by with shims alone, but check for concentricity prior to use.

I have the 16s and I dont have a problem getting a dedicate 556 suppressor if a dedicated one out performs one that can be used for many calibers.

Jul 15, 2022 · Unless you are always going to shoot very slow I wouldn’t get a titanium silencer. They will shit their guts if they get hot. r/NFA would be a good place to ask for input. The Surefire SOCOM and Sig SLX silencers are what I recommend.
