Sep 28, 2022 · I did like it a lot too, it was very much a Shenmue game and worth playing. But I'm not going to apologize for 20 years of pent up expectations for the story. It was logical to believe a Shenmue 4 may never happen and that's more apparent than ever. 3 could have and should have ended better, not necessarily a firm conclusion either.

May 8, 2022 · This TV anime was like watching someone speedrun Shenmue I & II with a crappy graphics card, all of the good music muted, skipping lots of the exceptionally memorable interactions & cutscenes involving supporting characters, and the player only knowing how to do like three moves in Free Battles (never once doing Darkside Hazuki or Arm Break Fire).

Sep 28, 2022 · Expected considering how little Shenmue III has progressed with the story. I really liked the anime apart from some cuts and the inferior soundtrack. It was a good adaptation of the first two games.
