Dec 13, 2013 · At least in sweden, a pure dirt bike is not legal in sweden. The big issue is insuranse in case of accident with other vehicle. I can only speak as a swede so there might be other local legal issues. A sled has a licance plate and a dirt bike is asigned to designated race tracks. Street legal bikes with snow conversion are in a legally "grey area".

Dec 5, 2017 · Depending on your bike, there could be different lengths as well as offsets for the tip of the shifter so you can get the shifter exactly where you want it. Even for my Beta-which is one of the least common bikes out there, there are good options for lengths and tip offsets to suit just about anyone.

Dec 13, 2016 · I do think the 450's work slightly better as a snow bike in the mountains however the new 500 has got to do very well. The 500 has some great features like a tall sixth gear (Great for long trail rides) and lots of power to tap into if you want hand warmers or a extra lighting etc.

Oct 23, 2014 · actually BUILD a snow bike building a sno bike requires a rather modest pile of tubing, some junk sled parts a good $1000 donor bike, a used $100 track, been lots of them built that way, three going together around my town right now, less than 2k when done.

Feb 7, 2013 · The largest one that fits (the YTZ-5S) only has 65 CCA and it is actually smaller so I will have to add some foam to keep it stable in the battery box on the bike. The YTX4L-BS is the OEM battery and fits perfectly but only has 50 CCA, which I'd be very surprised if it's enough to get the bike going in frigid temps.

Sep 14, 2012 · I don't think we've found a good bike yet. Just a lot of whats easy and avialable. After riding kits on $8000 bikes and $1000 bikes, wow not much differnce, no power difference to speak of, fact some of the old 4 bangers have the best vicous power band that is snow bike good.
