Michael James Ness (born April 3, 1962) [5] is an American musician who is the lead guitarist, lead vocalist and songwriter for the punk rock band Social Distortion, which was formed in 1978. He has also released two solo albums, Cheating at Solitaire and Under the Influences (both 1999). Ness was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts on April 3, 1962.
