Jul 12, 2020 · Guys i wanna do dragon slayer but I need 90 steel nails for that. I understand you can make them once u get 34 smithing but that is going to take like a hours and hours. Mining coal takes a minute just for 1 piece of coal and smelting iron leaves me with less then 8 iron bars from an entire inventory.

Sep 7, 2023 · You should only need nails for the first few early levels when you have to make chairs until level 19 in your POH. At level 40, you can do construction contracts. This is the only other time that I can think of you would want nails. I would use a minimum of adamant nails, but rune would be preferable.

Nov 10, 2014 · According to the wiki, f2p players can smith steel nails as of october 2014, not sure if that is true though. You used to have to walk into the wildy to get your nails (and planks too), dragon slayer was long back then for a reason :p

Feb 25, 2015 · If you find impatient people right now you could sell the nails 60-90 at a time for ridiculous markups, but it won't be that way once the G.E comes out unfortunately. I managed to sell a facemask for 100k , and a spice for 400k to a guy in Varrock west, he ended up paying me about 1 mill for a few DT items.

Oct 25, 2020 · Tip #3 - Buy your nails, don't smith them On top of training Construction, several quests require steel nails - nearly 500 in total, - so to save yourself from having to grind out the ore, then smelt it, and then smith it, just go to the Sawmill operator NE of Varrock to purchase steel nails for 3gp each.

Jan 17, 2022 · At my current understanding (it seems like there's always more to learn with OSRS!) the minimum requirements to be able to create the steel nails for Dragon Slayer I without any additional non Smithing experience are: 6x steel bar (or the materials to make them i.e. 6x iron ore and 12x coal, or a combination of bars and materials)
