T6 Single 2.5" Inlet Flange Question | Yellow Bullet Forums
Jan 29, 2025 · The turbo is a VS 88/103. I found this flange, but not sure if the single 2.5" hole is a bad idea. I don't want to run 2 separate 2.5" tube to the flange if possible. This would make the plumbing alot simpler and only one wastegate. My other option is to run a monkey fab T6 flange with a single 3" port.
turbo Y pipe size? | Yellow Bullet Forums
Apr 14, 2010 · I believe that in my combo, a 2.5" crossover with a larger A/R exhaust housing would have been ideal. My belief is that with smaller piping feeding the turbo, you have higher exhaust gas velocity at the turbine. This aids spooling and allows the same cid engine ability to spin the turbo faster. I will be logging impeller speed in my new combo.

t6 flange pipe size | Yellow Bullet Forums
Nov 21, 2010 · The opening in the T6 flange I bought had a bigger opening than the housing so I built up weld and bolted it to the housing and ground the weld to an exact match. I also drilled 2 holes through the flange and housing to use alignment pins to get the turbo and housing to align perfect with each other every time.

I'm running a 547 BBF w/ a T6 and shooting for ~1,300 - 1,500 HP. I done a ton of research before deciding on hot side sizes. I went a touch large on the header primaries, but figure I'll be okay with my engine size. 2" 14 gauge headers 2.5" 16 gauge collectors 2.5" 16 gauge x-over Both sides merged into a single 3" 16 gauge going into the T-6 ...

Oct 8, 2013 · Keep in mind that the oil has to lubricate and cool the bearing structure for a reliable turbo life span, and in most cases where the drain line is routed properly and the crankcase has sufficient evacuation, it will not be necessary to utilize a restrictor in the feed...

T-6 Flange- What Turbo to use? | Yellow Bullet Forums
Feb 24, 2010 · The basic kit would be 1-5/8 headers, 2.5" crossover, t6 flange and a downpipe that is 4". For your car 1-3/4 headers wouldn't be a bad idea, the 2.5" crossover is still fine and atleast a 4" downpipe. Plan on using a 48-60mm wastegate. I really like the JGS gates since they are made here in USA and are nice pieces. Tial and Turbosmart are also ...
