Most of the info on physically fitting the engine is the same for either chassis (and it's really straightforward). The wiring on the B7 would be different than the B6 due to the different CANBUS setups as well as different IMMO generation.

Jun 10, 2016 · I'm interested in buying a B7 Passat wagon 2.0 TDI DSG, 2013 year with around 200,000km on it. The car seemed in good shape when i test drove it. It has a DSG transmission which also seemed smooth. It had some nice features like Lane assist, side assist, front assist etc. What do you guys think, is that too much KM?

Dec 19, 2012 · B7 started being built in 2102. NMS is the codename for the B7 Passat when it was still in development stages. It stands for New Midsize Sedan and is a completely different design from previous model years. Beware though, There is a US B7 (AKA NMS) and there is a European B7 Passat which is a facelifted B6 Passat.

Dec 11, 2022 · Accessory bracket is off a Euro BPW TDI, alternator is off the BHW with the pully swapped off the 2.0t, power steering and A/C compressor is off the 2.0t and serpentine belt is off a vr6. Also grab the front engine mount off the 2.0t and swap it over (not pictured below)

Jul 2, 2000 · B7 is a bit of a misnomer (it's really more like a B6.5), but refers to the European Passat, which is a completely different vehicle from the NMS. The B7 and NMS share practically nothing between them. While VWvortex and other sites commonly (and incorrectly) refer to all new Passats as B7s, it is technically incorrect.

Dec 11, 2001 · To be honest, I think much of the true B7 Passat is largely just a revamped B6 Passat (which we DID get, sans any diesels, from 2006-2010). The B6 Passat was also the underpinnings for the CC (which we also got, again, no diesels) from 2009-2017.

Aug 16, 2007 · try diesel purge first- but do it the right way by pulling the fuel filter cap, suck it dry and pour a entire can of diesel purge in. put the cap back on and fire it up, rev it up a time or two let it idle for at least 2 minutes to get the purge threw the rail, but no more than 5 minutes as the purge is getting diluted by the second.
