Nov 4, 2002 · There is only one spot to put the pump pin. If your having trouble getting it locked, wrap the old belt around the pump sprocket and use it as a wrench to turn the pump so the pin can be inserted.

The T3359 tool is used for locking the injection pump at TDC on both the ALH and Common Rail TDI engines. It is also used to lock the camshafts on PD and Common Rail engines. You will need two of these tools if you are working on Common Rail engine.
