I'm assuming it doesn't recognize it because TPM management says it can't find TPM 1.2 or later, and that I have no "security devices" in device manager. I tried the repair install and completed any remaining updates yet it still gives me the same results.

Aug 15, 2024 · Make sure TPM 2.0 is enabled. You can check this in the TPM Management Console "tpm.msc". Look for the "The TPM is ready for use" status. Also, try clearing the TPM via the TPM Management Console or BIOS settings.

Aug 22, 2016 · In the UEFI/Bios environment during reboot I press the F12 key but don't come back to the Initialize the TPM wizard. Instead the TPM Management on Local Computer windows opens automatically and tells me the TPM is ready for use. I'm using Windows 10 pro upgrade from Windows 7 and a MSI C236A motherboard with their latest BIOS version.

Preparing for Win11. Had to enable fTPM in my BIOS, thats done. In the TPM management window, I have confirmed the version to be 2.0 . The Status is TPM is ready for use. I seem to be stuck here at the Actions window as the "Prepare the TPM" is greyed out. Ive tried clearing the TPM but even after restart there is not change. Any ideas?

Mar 8, 2015 · Problem: I cannot initialize the TPM. The snap-in does not offer an option in the TPM Management module. There is a TPM chip, or else the snap-in would not be available and the TPM management link would not appear in the BitLocker security window in Control Panel. The BIOS is up-to-date.
