Last year, Cecelia Smith was able to grow a potato plant that reached a height of 11 feet, 3 inches or 343 centimeters. She named it Gertrude. Before she grew Gertrude, the world’s record holder was 9 feet, 4 inches tall and it had been grown by Kevin Forte in the United Kingdom.
