Thalia Field (born 1966) is an American author known for innovative fiction and interdisciplinary literature. She teaches experimental fiction and interdisciplinary performance at Brown University , where she also serves as Faculty Director of the Brown Arts Institute .

Thalia Field is a writer working in interdisciplinary arts -- extending experimental fiction to multi-media and experimental performance. She has particular interests in animal stuides, ecology, and environmental poetics, Buddhist poetics and philosophy, as well as history of science and art.

Operatic in scope, ULULU (Clown Shrapnel) is a dramatic, genre-bending narrative and a lyrical cultural biography of the archetypal seductress Lulu.

Thalia Field's novel, Experimental Animals (A Reality Fiction), is available from Solid Objects press. She has published three collections with New Directions press: Point and Line (2000), Incarnate:Story Material (2004), and Bird Lovers, Backyard (2010).
