Referred to as the “Vatican of Disco,” The Saint was a gay, members-only club located in the East Village that operated between September 1980 and May 1988.

A collection of 33 posters, dated from 1982 through 2004, of the famous gay disco The Saint. This club opened September 30, 1980, and closed in 1988. However, it continued on through a variety of pop up events, which went on and continued into this century.

The Saint was an American gay nightclub, located in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It operated from 1980 to 1988. [1] It opened in the old premises of the Fillmore East, [1] a 1926-built, former-theater-turned-classic- rock-and-roll venue of the late 1960s and early 1970s, at 105 Second Avenue at 6th Street.
